ICBA wants to support your application!
Need a municipal council to hear from the industry? Upload a PDF of your development application and ICBA will send a letter of support on your behalf.
Building in B.C. means building communities — and ICBA stands behind our members at every stage of the approvals process. Use this tool to request a letter of support from ICBA for your development application.
Here's how it works:
- Read these instructions and then click the link below to open the Letter of Support tool. It will open in a new tab.
- You may be asked to sign in to Claude (the AI platform hosting this tool). This is free, takes 30 seconds, and only happens once. Sign in first, before filling out the form.
- You'll see a prompt to "Allow" shared data access — click Allow so your submission reaches ICBA.
- Fill out the form with your project details and upload your development application form PDF (to keep file sizes small, consider uploading text-based forms only, not full drawing packages — max 1.5 MB). If necessary, just select all text, copy and paste to a Word doc, save as PDF, and upload that.
- ICBA's advocacy team will review your submission, write a letter of support on ICBA letterhead under the signature of Chris Gardner, President & CEO, and send it to you for edits. Once you've approved, we will submit it to council and CC you on the final submission.
- Usual turnaround time: within 2 business days.
