ICBA Gala 2025 - An Evening with Legends

Thank you to everyone who attended our 50th Anniversary Gala featuring Super Bowl champions and New England Patriots legends Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. The night was a great success and the two legends provided great commentary on their years in the NFL.

The ICBA Gala celebrates open shop construction and the contribution ICBA’s 4,500+ member and client companies make to their communities and economy. Besides our keynote speakers, ICBA President Chris Gardner presents his ‘State of the Industry’, updating attendees on the success of the construction industry – and challenges ahead.

The ICBA Gala Dinner is our single biggest event, drawing 1,000 people to hear a unique selection of high-profile speakers, including NFL Hall of Fame quarterbacks Peyton Manning (2017), Brett Favre (2018), Troy Aikman (2019), Russell Wilson (2022), Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana (2023), and Howie Long (2024).

ICBA Red Seal Certification Dinner

Graduates in the construction industry deserve recognition for earning their Red Seal just like any other university students. Each year, ICBA invites our apprentices to walk across the stage, symbolizing their achievements and the hard work required to earn their certification. At our second annual Red Seal Dinner, we welcomed them, their families, industry colleagues, and professors for an evening of dinner, drinks, and networking. We captured the event and interviewed graduates and attendees to highlight that a career in the trades is as valid as any other diploma or degree. US Presidential Election:

What Happened and What’s Next?

This year the ICBA CEO Breakfast, Bob Rennie, founder of rennie, led a conversation with CNN’s John King on what happened in the US Presidential election and its implications for the USA, Canada, and the world.

John King is CNN’s chief national correspondent and anchor of Inside Politics. He is an award-winning journalist who has covered the past eight presidential elections and reported from all 50 states and more than 70 countries. Most recently, King was a prominent part of CNN’s 2024 Election Night in America coverage offering insight and analysis throughout the evening.

ICBA Buildex Booth

ICBA’s presence at BUILDEX is always a must-see, with props, actors, and fun giveaways.

This year we welcome the worlds most famous plumbers, the Super Mario brothers.

In 2017, we started with a Star Warstheme, and featured a live Jedi Knight, the evil Kylo Ren, and the beloved droid BB-8. A year later, ICBA had a construction Iron Throne built as part of our Game of Thrones theme. Jon Snow and Daenarys Targaryen took photos with the lords and ladies of the BUILDEX realm.

In 2020, just before COVID-19 shut down the world, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man hosted the booth and visitors tried out Avengers props like Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s shield, Hulk’s fists, and Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet. In 2022, the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda greeted guests. In 2023, we built LEGO together, and in 2024 we featured Deadpool and Wolverine.

ICBA Open

For more than 30 years, the ICBA Open golf tournament has been a highlight of our members’ summer and a great opportunity to network and have some fun. Proceeds from the ICBA Open benefit our Building Stronger Futures initiative that supports bursaries for young men and women pursuing a career in the trades.

We will return in July 2025, and the tournament will include all of the things that make the ICBA Open a great day – a beautiful course, buffet dinner, fun hole activities, the mega-putt, ice cream and other food trucks, and contests.

Registration opens at 10AM on June 10.
