Join us at our highly anticipated ICBA 2024 Meet The Generals event, being held this year at the JW Marriot Parq Hotel in Vancouver. This year we are back with more than 70 (thrice as many as 2023!) General Contractors, Developers and Private/Public owners exhibiting, helping you accelerate your business development, networking, and partnership-building endeavours. This networking event offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with more than 1,200 industry professionals in the Lower Mainland’s industrial, commercial, institutional, civil, and multi-family construction sectors.
ICBA Open
For more than 30 years, the ICBA Open golf tournament has been a highlight of our members’ summer and a great opportunity to network and have some fun. Proceeds from the ICBA Open benefit our Building Stronger Futures initiative that supports bursaries for young men and women pursuing a career in the trades.
When we return on July 24, 2024, the tournament will include all of the things that make the ICBA Open a great day – a beautiful course, buffet dinner, fun hole activities, the mega-putt, ice cream and other food trucks, and contests.
ICBA Gala 2024 An Evening with Legends Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long
Over the past few years, the ICBA Gala Dinner has become our single biggest event, drawing more than 1,000 people to celebrate construction and hear a unique selection of high-profile speakers.
This year, ICBA welcomed two NFL and sports broadcasting legends to our stage: Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long.
Combined, Terry and Howie have won 5 Super Bowls and 4 Emmy Awards. They are both Pro Football Hall of Fame members.

Construction Innovation Summit
ICBA’s first-ever Construction Innovation Summit gathers the best and brightest construction speakers and leaders from across North America.
Learn: Be inspired and learn from industry thought leaders and subject matter experts in the construction industry.
Relevant: Keynotes and Panels tailored to meet the needs of construction industry leaders, providing them with valuable insights, best practices, and trends that can help General and Trade Contractors succeed in today’s fast-paced world.
Network: Forge new connections, spark business development opportunities and rekindle old friendships to build better organizations and strengthen the industry.

ICBA Buildex Booth
ICBA’s presence at BUILDEX is always a must-see, with props, actors, and fun giveaways. In 2017, the booth was Star Wars-themed, and featured a live Jedi Knight, the evil Kylo Ren, and the beloved droid BB-8. A year later, ICBA had a construction Iron Throne built as part of our Game of Thrones theme. Jon Snow and Daenarys Targaryen took photos with the lords and ladies of the BUILDEX realm.
In 2020, just before COVID-19 shut down the world, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man hosted the booth and visitors tried out Avengers props like Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s shield, Hulk’s fists, and Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet. In 2022, the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda greeted guests. In 2023, we built LEGO together.
This past year, we welcomed Deadpool and Wolverine at our booth.
Trade show booths can all run together at a big show like BUILDEX but rest assured: you’ll always notice ICBA, and we’ll be back with a new theme in 2025. Come learn how ICBA can help you build your construction business!
