When David Eby became premier, B.C. was balancing its books. Now his government is running the biggest deficit in the province's history, borrowing $13.8 billion this year alone.
Here's what Eby's spending looks like:
• Spending has grown nearly five times faster than revenue.
• B.C.'s debt is on track to triple in just six years, faster than any province in at least 50 years.
• B.C.'s debt now works out to $100,000 owed by every family of four.
That money has to be paid back with interest, out of your taxes and eventually your kids'. Worse, a lot of it buys less than it should, because Eby's union-only rules and long delays have driven up the cost of the hospitals, bridges and highways we're paying for.
On October 24, vote for a government that will get B.C. building again.
