Construction well represented on new board
British Columbia's construction industry is well represented on the board of the newly formed, nine-member BC Safety Authority with Axel Gringmuth from ETS Electric, and Robert Lashin from Houle Electric.
Mr. Gringmuth is a past president of ICBA, having served two terms in that position from 1989 to 1992.
The BC Safety Authority, a crown agency, takes over from the provincial government's previous Safety Engineering Services organization.
Their responsibilities include inspections and public safety in such areas as electrical, gas, elevating devices, aerial tramways, and boiler and pressure vessels.
